About
Crescent Creek Campground sits in a lodgepole pine forest along its namesake creek, providing a peaceful base for exploring Oregon's South Cascade Lakes region. The campground's 9 sites are well-spaced and relatively quiet compared to the larger, more popular campgrounds nearby. Each site features a picnic table and fire ring with grill, and the campground has vault toilets and potable water available from a hand pump during the operating season. The location offers convenient access to three major lakes: Crescent Lake, Odell Lake, and Davis Lake, all within a short drive. These lakes are prime destinations for boating, fishing for native trout, and swimming. The Summit Lake Trail nearby is popular with hikers and mountain bikers seeking views of Diamond Peak. Wildlife in the area includes deer, native fish, and migratory birds. The campground is managed by Hoodoo Recreation Services under permit from the Deschutes National Forest. Sites accommodate vehicles up to 40 feet in length. The Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, known as Oregon's Highway in the Sky, passes nearby, offering a spectacular 66-mile drive through the Cascade Range past snow-capped peaks and alpine lakes.
