About
Crescent Creek Campground is a small, relatively isolated campground located along Crescent Creek near the junction of the Cascade Lakes Highway and Crescent Cutoff Road in Deschutes National Forest. The campground sits within a forest of lodgepole pine, with mountain hemlock, fir, and spruce also present, creating a peaceful setting somewhat removed from other area campgrounds. The campground offers excellent access to the South Cascade Lakes region, with Davis Lake, Odell Lake, and Crescent Lake all nearby. These lakes are prime locations for boating, fishing, and swimming, with fish species including kokanee salmon, mackinaw, rainbow trout, brown trout, and mountain whitefish. The Summit Lake Trail is popular among hikers and mountain bikers, offering excellent views of Diamond Peak. This area is one of the most productive wildlife areas in central Oregon, with deer, native fish, and migratory birds commonly spotted. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. The campground provides vault toilets and potable water from a hand pump when operational during the summer season. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet, though no hookups are available. The campground operates on a reservation system through Recreation.gov, making it easy to plan ahead for a visit to this scenic corner of the Cascade Range.
