About

Dusty Campground sits on the north shore of Lake Britton in Lassen National Forest, positioned where the Pit River flows into the lake. This small, seasonal campground is managed by PG&E as part of their recreation facilities program and offers a peaceful lakeside setting shaded by oak and pine trees. The campground accommodates RVs and trailers up to approximately 35 feet in length. All campsites include fire pits and picnic tables. The campground provides vault toilets and potable water during the operating season. A nearby boat launch provides access to Lake Britton for fishing and boating activities. The location offers scenic views and easy access to the lake, making it a good base for water recreation. The campground is located about 13 miles north of Burney, just north of McArthur-Burney Falls State Park. It operates first-come, first-served without advance reservations and is typically open from late spring through early fall, closing for the season starting in October.
