Honn Campground is a small, rustic campground nestled along Honn Creek in Lassen National Forest, approximately 20 miles north of Lassen Volcanic National Park. The campground features 6 shaded sites with fire pits and grills, providing a peaceful creekside setting for campers seeking a quiet mountain getaway. The location offers excellent fishing opportunities for trophy trout in Honn Creek, and serves as a convenient base for exploring the nearby Thousand Lakes Wilderness area, which features numerous hiking trails, alpine lakes, and abundant wildlife viewing. The campground's proximity to Highway 89 makes it easily accessible while still maintaining a secluded atmosphere. This is a first-come, first-served campground with basic amenities. Campers should be prepared to bring their own drinking water, as none is available on-site. The campground operates seasonally, typically from late May through October, with exact dates dependent on snow conditions.
