About

Strawberry Bay Campground is situated on the shore of Strawberry Reservoir at an elevation of 7,200 feet in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The campground sits among rolling sagebrush-covered hills with small pine trees scattered throughout, providing sweeping views of the reservoir and surrounding landscape. Most campsites offer excellent reservoir views, though shade is limited. The reservoir is the main attraction, offering exceptional fishing opportunities for rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and Kokanee salmon. Boating, water skiing, and canoeing are popular activities, with Strawberry Marina located just a quarter mile away. The marina provides boat ramps, power and pontoon boat rentals, slip rentals, fuel, and a small general store with fishing supplies. Beyond water activities, the area features the extensive Strawberry OHV Trail System with 75 miles of trails for off-highway vehicles, hiking, and mountain biking. The Strawberry Visitor Center offers interpretive displays, a working fish trap and egg collection station, and a nature trail. The campground has paved roads and various site types including single sites (with and without electric), double sites, group sites, and a group shelter accommodating up to 100 people.

Directions

From Heber City, Utah, take Highway 40 east for 23 miles to Strawberry Bay junction, then continue 5 miles to the campground.
