Strawberry Bay

Strawberry Bay Campground occupies a prime position on the shore of Strawberry Reservoir at 7,200 feet elevation in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The campground is set among rolling sagebrush-covered hills with sweeping reservoir views. Small pine trees dot the landscape but provide minimal shade. With over 300 sites spread across multiple loops, this is one of the largest campgrounds in the region. The campground accommodates all camping styles. B Loop offers full RV hookups (electric, water, sewer), while other loops provide standard non-electric sites. Most sites include wind shelters or covered picnic shelters, tables, grills, and campfire rings. Flush toilets and drinking water are available throughout, though no showers exist on-site. A dump station is included with camping fees. Strawberry Reservoir draws anglers year-round for its excellent rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and kokanee salmon fishing. Strawberry Marina, just a quarter mile away, offers boat rentals, slip rentals, fuel, and a general store. The Strawberry OHV Trail System provides 75 miles of trails for ATVs, hikers, and mountain bikers. The Strawberry Visitor Center features interpretive displays, a working fish trap, and a nature trail.

Directions

From Heber City, Utah, take Highway 40 east for 23-28 miles to Strawberry Bay Junction, then follow signs 5-6 miles to the campground.
