About
Crescent Lake Campground occupies a scenic hillside position overlooking Crescent Lake, a glacier-carved basin lake in Oregon's Deschutes National Forest. The lake's distinctive blue-green water and sandy beaches draw visitors for swimming, fishing, and boating. A boat ramp within the campground provides direct access, and Crescent Lake Resort across the dam offers supplies, dining, and boat rentals. The campground features 43 sites spread across the forested hillside of lodgepole pine, mountain hemlock, and fir. Site types include standard nonelectric sites, tent-only sites, and three furnished yurts available year-round. The yurts include bunk beds, a double futon, table and chairs, and a wood stove. Drinking water is available via hand pump seasonally through late September, and vault toilets serve the campground. The Summit Lake Trail starts nearby, popular for hiking and mountain biking with excellent views of Diamond Peak across the lake. Winter visitors can access Crescent Lake Snowpark for skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. The Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway passes through the area, connecting to other lakes and attractions in the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests.
