About
Contorta Flat Campground sits on the southern shore of Crescent Lake, a glacier-carved basin with brilliant blue-green water and sandy beaches at the top of Willamette Pass. The campground offers 19 sites ranging from tent-only waterfront spots to standard sites that can accommodate RVs. A forest of lodgepole pine, mountain hemlock, fir, and spruce provides the backdrop. Crescent Lake is a prime destination for boating, fishing, and swimming. The Summit Lake Trail nearby is popular among hikers and mountain bikers, offering excellent views of Diamond Peak. The nearby Crescent Lake Resort provides a general store, supplies, and equipment rentals for those needing provisions. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets but no potable water. Campers must bring their own drinking water. The campground is accessed via Forest Road 60, a gravel road for the final miles. Generators are prohibited between 10 PM and 7 AM.
