About
For those seeking solitude and quiet, Corral Springs is the place. This small, primitive campground is located 15 minutes northwest of Chemult, Oregon, in the Fremont-Winema National Forest. The campground features five campsites nestled among lodgepole pines, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Two vault toilets and an information board are available for visitor use. A narrow creek meanders through the middle of the campground, fed by a spring that gurgles out of a knoll, creating a peaceful natural setting. The campground sees light use during most of the year, making it an ideal destination for campers who value privacy and a primitive camping experience. In the fall, Corral Springs becomes popular amongst hunters taking advantage of the surrounding national forest. During summer months, particularly June and July, mosquitoes can be heavy, so insect repellent is recommended. There is no potable water available at the campground, so visitors must pack in all the water they will need for their stay. The maximum vehicle length is 50 feet, and best of all, there are no camping fees.
Directions
