About

Beaver View Campground is situated at 8,960 feet elevation along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, approximately 34 miles south of Evanston, Wyoming. The campground sits alongside the Hayden Fork River in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, surrounded by a thin forest of pine and aspen trees that provide limited shade. Several small beaver ponds dot the area around the campground, and summer wildflowers and grasses enhance the landscape. The campground offers 17 single campsites and 1 group day-use site, each equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. Vault toilets and drinking water are available during the operating season. Sites accommodate up to 8 people and 1 vehicle per site, with a maximum stay of 14 days. Recreation opportunities abound in the surrounding area. The campground provides convenient access to High Uinta Wilderness hiking trails for backpacking and day hiking. The Hayden Fork River and nearby alpine lakes offer fishing opportunities. ATV trail riding is popular in the area, though ATVs must be licensed to travel on the highway. The Mirror Lake Scenic Byway itself offers breathtaking scenic viewpoints and access to numerous high alpine lakes and streams throughout the Uinta Mountains.

Directions

From Evanston, Wyoming, take State Route 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) south 34.1 miles to the campground sign. Turn left into the campground.
