Caroga Lake Campground is a New York State DEC campground located on the scenic shores of East Caroga Lake in Fulton County, within the southern portion of the Adirondack Park. The campground offers 101 standard campsites spread across six loops, accommodating everything from tents to RVs up to 40 feet in length. All sites are non-electric and include fire rings and picnic tables. Facilities include modern restrooms with hot showers, a trailer dump station, and a recycling center. Recreation opportunities abound at this family-friendly campground. The sand beach provides swimming access, while the boat launch accommodates small watercraft. Canoe, kayak, and rowboat rentals are available on-site. An 18-station diversified exercise course offers fitness opportunities along the shoreline. Anglers will find good fishing in East Caroga Lake, and nearby Ferris Lake and Shaker Mountain Wild Forests provide additional hiking trails. The campground operates seasonally from mid-May through early September. Reservations are available through ReserveAmerica up to nine months in advance. Check-in is between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM, with checkout at 11:00 AM. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights, with a cumulative limit of 14 nights between July 1 and Labor Day. Pets are welcome on a leash no longer than six feet with proof of current rabies vaccination.
