Moffitt Beach Campground occupies a scenic stretch of shoreline on Sacandaga Lake in Hamilton County, within the central Adirondack Park. At 1,730 feet elevation, the campground is set in a flat, well-wooded landscape dominated by large white pines and mixed hardwoods. The 247 campsites are spread across seven loops (A through G), with sites accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs up to 40 feet in length. The campground offers a full complement of amenities including hot showers, flush toilets, potable water from spigots, a trailer dump station, and a recycling center. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. A sandy beach provides designated swimming access, and the boat launch accommodates both motorized boats and paddlecraft. Sacandaga Lake supports walleye, trout, bass, and perch fishing. The nearby Jessup River Wild Forest offers hiking trails for those wanting to explore beyond the campground. Nine accessible campsites are available for campers with mobility disabilities, with accessible shower buildings located near sites 140 and 238. Pets are welcome but must have current rabies vaccination, remain on a leash no longer than six feet, and cannot be left unattended. Quiet hours run from 10 PM to 7 AM.
