About
Located on the shores of Piseco Lake in Hamilton County, Piseco Lake Campground encompasses 98 campsites across two loops: the historic Point Comfort Loop, which opened in 1931 after development by the Civilian Conservation Corps, and Little Sand Point Loop. The campground serves as a base for exploring both aquatic and mountain environments in the Adirondack Park. The lake offers excellent fishing opportunities for walleye, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, smallmouth bass, and whitefish. A concrete boat launch accommodates motorboats, and canoe, rowboat, and kayak rentals are available on-site. The designated swimming beach provides access to the lake during daylight hours. Hikers can explore the 3/4-mile Panther Mountain Echo Cliffs trail leading to 700-foot cliffs, or embark on the five-mile T Lake Trail to reach T Lake at 2,460 feet elevation. The campground also provides convenient access to the Northville-Lake Placid Trail, a 133-mile long-distance hiking route through the Adirondacks. The campground includes family sites that accommodate up to 12 people, flush and vault toilets, hot showers, and a dump station.
