About

Northampton Beach Campground occupies a prime location on the northwest corner of Great Sacandaga Lake, one of the largest bodies of water in the Adirondack region. The 223-site campground offers diverse camping experiences, from secluded sites nestled within tall white pines and northern hardwoods to open sites along the natural sandy shoreline with direct lake views. The campground is well-equipped with modern amenities including hot showers, flush toilets, and a trailer dump station. A natural sand beach provides swimming with lifeguards on duty from mid-June through Labor Day. Boaters have access to a large craft launch ramp, and those without watercraft can rent canoes, kayaks, and rowboats on the premises. The nearby Northville-Lake Placid Trail offers hiking opportunities. Families will appreciate the Junior Naturalist program for children ages 5-13, which encourages exploration of the surrounding Adirondack environment. Seven ADA-accessible campsites are available, along with accessible shower buildings, boat launch dock, and beach access. Pets are permitted with proof of current rabies vaccination.
