About

Blue Meadow Group Campground occupies a scenic wooded valley along Anthony Creek in the Monongahela National Forest at 1,860 feet elevation. Round Mountain provides a striking backdrop across the creek. The campground contains 17 campsites, including 4 walk-in tent sites, with all drive-in sites accommodating both tents and trailers up to 45 feet. Each site features a picnic table, fire grate, lantern post, and waste receptacle. Vault toilets are available but there is no drinking water on-site; potable water can be obtained at nearby Blue Bend Campground. When not reserved as a group site, the campground may open for overflow with individual sites available first-come, first-served. The area offers excellent recreation including trout fishing in Anthony Creek and swimming at the Blue Hole. Anthony Creek Trail follows the creek through a narrow valley filled with rhododendron and flowering forest trees, while Blue Bend Loop Trail features three scenic overlooks. The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs is a 15-minute drive, and the West Virginia State Fair in Lewisburg is 30 minutes away.
