About
Blue Meadow is a group campground located in the Monongahela National Forest near White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The campground sits at 1,860 feet elevation in a pleasant, wooded valley along Anthony Creek, with Round Mountain visible across the creek. It offers 17 campsites including 4 walk-to sites, each equipped with picnic tables, grills, and lantern posts. Anthony Creek attracts anglers seeking trout, and the "Blue Hole" in the creek is a popular swimming spot. Nearby trails include Anthony Creek Trail, which follows the creek through a narrow valley filled with rhododendron and flowering forest trees, and Blue Bend Loop Trail with three scenic overlooks. Both are recommended for hiking and bird watching. Big Draft Wilderness is nearby for those seeking more remote backcountry exploration. The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs is a 15-minute drive away. The West Virginia State Fair in Lewisburg is about 30 minutes distant and held annually in August.
