About

Philbrook Campground provides a serene mountain camping experience at over 5,600 feet elevation on Philbrook Reservoir in the Lassen National Forest. Operated by Pacific Gas and Electric Company through their concessionaire American Land & Leisure, the campground offers 20 developed campsites nestled under cedar trees with beautiful views of the reservoir. The campground serves as an excellent base for fishing and non-motorized boating on Philbrook Reservoir, with a car-top boat launch available nearby. The area is known for trout fishing and peaceful paddling opportunities. Each campsite is equipped with a bear box for food storage, reflecting the active wildlife in the area. The campground also features handicap accessible facilities. This is a fee campground located in the DeSabla Watershed area near Paradise, California. The remote mountain setting provides a quiet retreat, though visitors should be prepared for primitive conditions typical of higher elevation forest campgrounds. The reservoir and surrounding Lassen National Forest offer opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and enjoying the natural beauty of the northern Sierra Nevada region.
