About
East Fork Bear River Campground is nestled right along the Bear River about 35 miles south of Evanston, Wyoming, just off the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway at an elevation of 8,400 feet. The byway cuts through the Uinta Mountains, which are known for their abundant recreational opportunities and scenic beauty. The campground offers 7 single campsites with picnic tables and fire rings, situated among a thin forest of pine and aspen trees that provide only limited shade. The campground provides direct river access for fishing in the Bear River, and the surrounding area features summer wildflowers and grasses dotting the landscape. Nearby trails offer opportunities for hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, and ATV riding. Vault restrooms are available, and water is accessible by pump only. The facility is operated by a concessionaire and requires reservations to be made at least 5 days in advance, with a 2-night minimum stay on weekends and 3-night minimum on holiday weekends.
