About

Winom Creek Campground sits at roughly 4,400 feet elevation in the Blue Mountains southeast of Ukiah, Oregon. The campground features 10 sites along Winom Creek, including three group sites (3, 4, and 10) that feature log picnic shelters. Two accessible vault toilets serve the campground. An OHV loading dock and interpretive signage are located near the information board. There is no potable water or garbage service, so visitors must bring their own water and pack out all trash. The campground is the primary staging area for the southern portion of the Winom-Frazier OHV Complex. Tower Loop Trail #3040 connects directly to the campground, providing access to over 100 miles of OHV trails. Hikers and equestrians also use the facility to access the adjacent North Fork John Day Wilderness via North Winom Creek Trail #3160 and South Winom Creek Trail #3153, located just beyond the campground off FSR 52-440. The surrounding area offers hunting, wildlife viewing, mushroom and huckleberry picking, photography, and the Ukiah-Granite Roadside Geology tour along the scenic byway.
