About

Lane Creek Campground is a lightly-used primitive campground situated among large, open Ponderosa pines in the Blue Mountains of Umatilla National Forest. Located about 11 miles east of Ukiah on Highway 244, this 7-site campground provides a quiet retreat for campers seeking solitude. The campground is adjacent to Lane Creek, though the creek water is not potable. Facilities include two vault toilets, one of which is ADA-accessible, and picnic tables at each campsite. There is no potable water or garbage collection, so campers must bring their own water supply and pack out all trash. Site 3 can accommodate groups at a higher nightly rate. The campground offers hunting and photography opportunities in the surrounding forest. Nearby, the Bear Wallow Interpretive Trail features a quarter-mile loop that educates visitors about the steelhead fish lifecycle. The area sees light use, making it ideal for those seeking a quieter camping experience away from more developed facilities.
