Frog Heaven Forest Camp
This primitive dispersed camping area is typically accessible in late spring through fall when Forest Road 21 is passable. No facilities or services are provided. Campers are limited to 14 consecutive nights within any 30-day period on all Wallowa-Whitman National Forest lands.

Frog Heaven Forest Camp is a primitive dispersed camping area located in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in Oregon's Blue Mountains. This is not a developed campground but rather a dispersed camping zone with no facilities provided and no regular maintenance. It caters to self-reliant campers seeking solitude and a true wilderness experience. The area offers access to fishing opportunities in nearby ponds. Campers should contact the La Grande Ranger District for information about additional fishing locations throughout the Blue Mountains. There are no fees, reservations, or services at this location. Campers must be fully self-sufficient, bringing all water, packing out all trash, and being prepared for primitive conditions. Access is via Forest Road 21 off Highway 244, approximately 26 miles from La Grande.
Directions
From La Grande, take I-84 West for 20 miles. Turn southwest on State Highway 244 to Forest Road 21, then turn northwest to Frog Heaven Forest Camp (approximately 6 miles on FR 21).
