**Water is not available at this campground this season. **The well went down in 2024 and was slated to be repaired but then it was discovered that the electricity was no longer in service because of the Retreat Fire. **Please bring all water necessary for the duration of your stay. This would include drinking water, water to clean dishes and put out your campfire, etc. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.**

About

Windy Point Campground occupies a scenic stretch along the Tieton River in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, roughly 12 miles west of Naches, Washington. At 2,000 feet elevation, the campground offers views of the Northern Cascade Range and serves as a key access point for whitewater paddlers running the Tieton River. The 14 back-in sites feature parking spurs ranging from 21 to 37 feet, with a maximum trailer length of 22 feet. Recreational opportunities abound in the area. Hikers can access popular trails including Frost Mountain Lookout, Keenan Meadows, and Grey Rock. The Tieton River provides excellent fishing alongside its renowned whitewater. The nearby Jumpoff Lookout represents a historic highlight as the last remaining fire lookout in the Naches Ranger District. The campground experienced significant impacts from the 2024 Retreat Fire. The well system failed and subsequent electrical damage has left the campground without potable water for the 2026 season. Campers must bring all water needed for drinking, cooking, dishwashing, and extinguishing campfires.
