About

Hause Creek Campground is situated along the Tieton River in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, just below Rimrock Lake Dam off U.S. Highway 12. At an elevation of 2,500 feet, the campground provides a basecamp for exploring Washington's Northern Cascade Range. The 42 sites include 39 standard nonelectric sites and 5 tent-only sites, all without hookups. The campground has vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Firewood bundles are available for purchase. The area offers excellent fishing opportunities and serves as a launch point for whitewater rafting on the Tieton River, which becomes especially exciting each September when the Bureau of Reclamation releases water from Rimrock Lake. Nearby attractions include Boulder Cave National Recreation Trail, which features an accessible trail along the river and access to Boulder Cave with interpretive signs explaining the geology and natural history. The Goat Rocks Wilderness and Pacific Crest Trail are also accessible from the area.

Directions

From Naches, travel west on Highway 12 for about 21.3 miles to milepost 168. Campground is on the south side of the highway.
