About

Cottonwood Campground is nestled along the Naches River in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, just off Highway 410 in Washington's Northern Cascade Range. The campground features 16 sites at 2,300 feet elevation, with a mix of standard nonelectric sites and tent-only options. Several sites offer direct river access, making it popular for fishing and swimming. The surrounding landscape includes craggy peaks, mountain meadows, and old-growth forests typical of the Cascades. Nearby American Ridge Trail extends over 26 miles, connecting to the Pacific Crest Trail and accommodating hikers and horseback riders. Whitewater rafting on the American and Tieton rivers draws visitors in fall. Amenities include vault toilets, potable drinking water from a hand pump, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site. Firewood is available for purchase at the host site. No electric hookups, dump station, or showers are available. The 22-foot maximum trailer limit and site configurations make this campground best suited for smaller RVs, trailers, and tent camping.
