About

Lower Bake Oven Campground is one of several dispersed camping areas along the South Fork Tieton River in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, near Rimrock Lake in Yakima County, Washington. The area sits at approximately 3,300 feet elevation and provides access to the surrounding forest and river recreation opportunities. This is primitive, dispersed camping offering both RV and tent sites. Vault toilets (outhouses and sani-cans) are available during summer months at the individual camping areas. There is no potable water; campers should bring their own or be prepared to filter and treat water from nearby sources. The campground operates on a pack-it-out basis for trash. The campground is located in a cluster that includes Jay Hawk, Upper Bake Oven, and Minnie Meadows camping areas, all accessible via Forest Service Road 1000. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations.
