About
Willows Campground is a small, scenic campground located along the South Fork of the Ogden River in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. At 5,300 feet elevation, the campground is tucked into a stand of willow trees with a heavy understory providing privacy between sites. Some sites sit directly adjacent to the river, offering the sound of flowing water and easy access for fishing or wading.
The campground has 17 sites total: 14 single sites accommodating up to 8 people and 3 double sites for up to 16 people. Amenities include gravel roads and spurs, cement picnic table pads, fire rings, vault toilets, potable water, and trash dumpsters. A campground host is stationed on-site near the entrance and sells firewood.
Popular recreation includes fishing, hiking, swimming, and tubing down the South Fork Ogden River (life jackets required for tubers). Causey Reservoir, a scenic mountain lake, is located two miles to the east. The campground enforces a 7-day stay limit, with gates locked at 10pm and quiet hours from 10pm to 8am. Bear-proof food storage is required.
