Middle Inlet Group Day Use Area occupies a scenic location on the eastern shore of Pineview Reservoir in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, just 2 miles north of Huntsville, Utah. The site features a large covered picnic shelter that accommodates up to 75 people, making it a popular venue for weddings, company picnics, family reunions, and other group gatherings. The grassy, open site is dotted with cottonwoods and pines offering limited shade, with 12 picnic tables, grills, a Dutch oven cooking surface, serving tables, a concrete pad, and a large gravel parking area. From the shelter, visitors enjoy panoramic views of Ogden Valley, the surrounding mountain peaks, and Pineview Reservoir, which borders both sides of the day-use area. The site includes beach access for swimming and is within easy reach of boat ramps located around the reservoir. Pineview Reservoir is known for excellent boating, water skiing, fishing, and swimming opportunities. The beautiful Ogden Valley offers numerous additional recreational opportunities including fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and scenic drives. Causey Reservoir, located 12 miles away, provides canoeing, fishing, and trail access for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
