About
Wilgus State Park sits along the western bank of the Connecticut River in Weathersfield, Vermont. This intimate campground offers 15 tent/RV sites, 6 lean-to shelters, and 4 electric cabins, many positioned to take advantage of river views. The park is particularly popular with paddlers since canoe and kayak rentals are available at the contact station, and a boat launch provides direct access to the Connecticut River for fishing and exploration. Facilities include two restroom buildings with flush toilets and coin-operated hot showers, potable water spigots throughout the campground, and an RV dump station near the ranger's quarters. Wi-Fi is available at the contact station. Recreational options include horseshoe pits, a volleyball net, a swimming area with river access, and hiking trails. The Pinnacle Trail is approximately one mile and climbs to ridge-top views overlooking the river and New Hampshire, while the shorter Wilgus Nature Trail offers a level half-mile walk. The park has multiple ADA-accessible campsites and facilities, including accessible restrooms and showers. Pets are allowed on leash throughout most of the park except the swimming area; one cabin (Otter) is pet-friendly while the other three do not permit pets. No hookups are available at individual sites, though the dump station serves RV needs.
