North Hartland Lake Beach

This is a day-use area, not an overnight campground. The facility is currently closed for the season. The picnic shelters and beach area typically operate seasonally from late spring through early fall.

About

North Hartland Lake Beach is a US Army Corps of Engineers day-use facility located on the Ottauquechee River in North Hartland, Vermont, close to White River Junction and Lebanon, New Hampshire. The recreation area centers around a sandy swimming beach with access to the 215-acre flood control lake. The facility features three reservable picnic shelters (Upper, Lower, and Small) that can accommodate groups of 65 to 100 people and are equipped with electric service. Throughout the park, visitors will find dispersed picnic tables and grills, a concrete boat launch accommodating both trailered boats and kayaks/canoes, a playground, horseshoe pits, volleyball nets, and a nature trail. Important: This is a day-use area, not a traditional campground. There are no individual tent or RV campsites. For overnight camping in the area, nearby Quechee State Park offers tent and RV sites. North Hartland Lake is a flood control facility and may close during severe storm events.
