About

Whitewater Lake Campground is a primitive facility nestled within the Southern Unit of Kettle Moraine State Forest in Walworth County, Wisconsin. The campground features 63 campsites suitable for tent and trailer camping, set among the glacially sculpted terrain that defines the Kettle Moraine region. The Whitewater Lake segment of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail runs through this area, offering excellent hiking opportunities. Amenities include vault toilets, a sanitary dump station, and recycling/garbage collection. Fire rings and picnic tables are standard at campsites. There are no showers on-site; the nearest shower facilities are approximately 20 miles north at Pinewoods, Ottawa Lake, or Horserider's campgrounds. Accessible campsites are available with paved paths to restrooms and the beach, plus electrical hookups. Whitewater Lake beach and boat launch are a short drive from the campground, as is Rice Lake with its playground and boat launch. A Wisconsin state park vehicle admission sticker is required for all vehicles in addition to camping fees. Reservations are required and can be made online at wisconsin.goingtocamp.com or by calling 1-888-947-2757.
