Lake Kegonsa State Park Campground offers 96 family campsites in a heavily wooded setting along the shores of Lake Kegonsa, a 3,200-acre lake known for excellent fishing. Sites 1-9 and 87-93 are partially wooded, while the remaining sites are heavily wooded. Twenty-nine sites feature electrical hookups, including two designated accessible sites. The campground accommodates tents, pop-ups, trailers, and RVs with one wheeled camping unit allowed per site. Camping facilities include flush toilets and showers near the campground entrance, three vault toilets distributed throughout, and drinking water at multiple locations. A sanitary dump station is located between the family and group camping areas. The park also offers a separate group camp with six tent-only sites, each accommodating up to 20 campers. Beyond camping, the park provides a swimming beach, reservable picnic shelters, a boat launch, and hiking trails winding through oak woodlands, prairies, and wetlands. A designated pet swim and picnic area is available. Firewood is sold on weekends during camping season and daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
