About

Lake Kegonsa State Park Group Campground sits on the shores of Lake Kegonsa, one of four lakes connected by the Yahara River in south-central Wisconsin. The group camp features six designated tent-only sites, each capable of hosting up to 20 campers. Two vault toilets and two water fountains serve the camping area, and Group Site B includes a picnic shelter directly on site. Parking is limited to six vehicles per site, with overflow parking available near the beach. The campground includes a common recreation area with a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, and ball field for group activities. The park's swimming beach, multiple picnic areas with reservable shelters, and a boat launch are all accessible within one mile of the group camp. A concessionaire sells firewood on weekends during the camping season and daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Reservations are made through wisconsin.goingtocamp.com or by calling 1-888-947-2757. A Wisconsin vehicle admission sticker is required for park entry. The park is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. year-round, though group camping typically operates seasonally.
