About

Ottawa Lake Campground occupies a scenic location within the Ottawa Lake Recreation Area in Wisconsin's Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit. The campground offers 100 sites spread across multiple loops, with 65 sites featuring electrical hookups and 35 primitive sites for those seeking a more rustic experience. Two shower buildings with flush toilets serve campers, along with a vault toilet building available during winter months. The 17-acre Ottawa Lake is the centerpiece of the recreation area, featuring a public swimming beach, fishing opportunities, and boat access. An adaptive kayak and launching chariot are available through the rental program. The campground provides excellent access to the Kettle Moraine's unique glacial landscape, including portions of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. As the only year-round campground in the Southern Unit, Ottawa Lake accommodates winter camping with a limited number of plowed sites, water available from a spigot near site 338, and a winter vault toilet near site 359. The campground features multiple ADA-accessible campsites, paved pathways, and a 700-square-foot accessible log cabin designed with barrier-free features.
