Situated in the heart of Kettle Moraine State Forest's Southern Unit, this specialized equestrian campground provides 56 sites designed exclusively for horse camping. The facility offers 36 back-in sites and 20 pull-through sites, plus one group site accommodating up to 20 people. Each site features tether posts and a fire ring. The campground is strategically positioned with direct access to over 36 miles of bridle trails that wind through the forest's distinctive glacial landscape of forested hills, kettles, and prairies. Amenities include a shower building for campers, vault toilets, drinking water, a horse shower, manure deposit stations, and a picnic shelter. The campground serves as a hub for exploring the extensive network of equestrian trails that showcase the diverse ecosystems of the 22,000-acre Southern Unit. All equestrians 16 years and older must purchase and carry a state trail pass while using the designated bridle trails.
