About
Whiterocks Campground has been recently remodeled with native rock and restored to a primitive state, offering a quiet and scenic camping experience in Whiterocks Canyon on the Ashley National Forest. Located at approximately 7,500 feet elevation, the campground features 21 campsites that can accommodate RVs up to 30 feet in length. The campground sits alongside the Whiterocks River, providing excellent fishing opportunities and dramatic views of the canyon's distinctive cliff formations. The primitive setting means campers must bring their own water, as potable water is not available on-site. Restrooms are provided. The campground offers a peaceful retreat with access to the natural beauty of the Uinta Mountains. The surrounding area is open to restricted OHV use on designated Forest Service trails, making it a good base for motorized recreation. The campground operates seasonally from mid-May through late November, with the off-season lasting from late November to early May depending on snow conditions. Sites are available for $8 per night and include picnic tables and fire rings at each campsite.
