About
Whiterocks Campground sits at approximately 7,500 feet elevation within the striking Whiterocks Canyon in northeastern Utah's Ashley National Forest. The campground features 21 sites surrounded by the dramatic cliff formations that give the canyon its name. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water on site, so campers must bring their own supply. The Whiterocks River runs through the area, providing fishing opportunities for anglers. OHV use is restricted to designated trails only. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis at $8 per night for a single unit. Access is via Forest Road 492 from the town of Whiterocks. The seasonal opening typically occurs around mid-May, with closure in late November depending on snow conditions. The campground accommodates RVs up to 30 feet in length.
