About
White Pass Lake Campground, also known as Leech Lake Campground, occupies a scenic position on the northeastern shore of Leech Lake at 4,400 feet elevation in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The campground's 10 sites serve as a staging area for Pacific Crest Trail hikers and a destination for anglers seeking the lake's fly-fishing-only waters. Facilities are primitive but functional: vault toilets and a dumpster are provided, but campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on site. A boat launch accommodates non-motorized watercraft only. The campground is operated by White Pass Company under a special use permit. Trailer length is restricted to 20 feet maximum, making this unsuitable for larger RVs. The area sees moderate use and offers additional recreation opportunities including day hiking, backpacking, and picnicking with views of the surrounding Cascade terrain.
