Clear Lake North Campground is situated along the North Fork Tieton River in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, encompassing 33 individual and group sites spread across Three Day Camp, Spring Camp, and North Group Campground. Perched between Rimrock Lake and Clear Lake at 3,000 feet elevation, the campground sits beneath a canopy of towering pine and fir trees, offering access to diverse recreational opportunities in the Cascades. The North Fork Tieton River originates in the Goat Rocks Wilderness, collecting water from snowmelt and glaciers among rugged volcanic remnants. Visitors enjoy nearby Clear Lake and Rimrock Lake for fishing kokanee salmon and trout, kayaking, and motorized boating. Boat launches are available 0.6 miles away at Clear Lake South Campground and less than 4 miles to Rimrock Lake. River enthusiasts seek out the Tieton River for whitewater rafting, particularly in September when Bureau of Reclamation flood releases create exciting Class III-IV rapids. The campground provides access to the Pacific Crest Trail and hiking throughout Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest's diverse landscape of glaciated alpine peaks, old growth valleys, and mountain lakes. The area offers warm, sunny summer weather ideal for outdoor recreation, while winters bring heavy snow and seasonal closure. From Naches, travel west on Highway 12 for 31 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 1200/Tieton Reservoir Road and follow for 0.5 mile. Turn left onto Forest Road 740 and go 0.5 mile. Accessible by passenger car.
