About

Deep Creek Horse Camp is a remote equestrian campground situated in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest near Goose Prairie, Washington. The campground is specifically designed for horse camping and features vault toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, horse corrals, hitching posts, and a stock/horse loading ramp with ample trailer parking space. The site provides trail access to Twin Sisters Trail #980 and Indian Creek Trail #1105, which connect through the William O Douglas Wilderness to Indian Creek Campground along US-12. There is no potable water at the campground; campers must bring their own drinking water or filter from nearby water sources. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. Access to the campground follows a lengthy route via Bumping River Road (Forest Road 1800) and Deep Creek Road (Forest Road 1808), totaling over 45 miles from Naches. The area receives light usage and offers a true backcountry horse camping experience.

Directions

From Naches, WA travel west on Highway 12 for 4.4 miles. Continue straight onto Highway 410 W for 27.5 miles. Turn left onto Bumping River Rd / Forest Road 1800 and travel 13.5 miles then stay left on Forest Road 1808 before crossing Deep Creek to travel another 7 miles to reach the trailhead.
