About

Dog Lake Campground is a primitive Forest Service campground located at 4,200 feet elevation on the southern shores of Dog Lake within the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The campground offers 8 campsites on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available. Managed by White Pass Company, the campground provides vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own water supply. The campground serves as a basecamp for lake fishing and provides access to the Cramer Lake Trail #1106, which leads into the William O. Douglas Wilderness for day hiking and backpacking. The setting is forested near the lake, offering a quiet mountain experience. Note that horses and pack animals are not permitted at the trailhead within the camp units. Vehicle size is restricted due to limited turning radius on interior campground roads. Maximum trailer length is 20 feet and maximum motorhome length is 24 feet. ADA-accessible sites are available. The campground operates seasonally, typically from late May through mid-October depending on snow conditions.
