About

Indian Creek Recreation Area is a dispersed camping destination situated between Rimrock Lake and Clear Lake in Washington's Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Located along the White Pass Scenic Byway at an elevation of 2,950 feet, this primitive camping area accommodates both RVs and tents on a first-come, first-served basis. The area offers a more rustic camping experience compared to nearby developed campgrounds like Clear Lake. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water on site, so campers must bring their own supply. Payment can be made with cash, check, or via the Recreation.gov mobile app using QR codes at the site. The location provides convenient access to Rimrock Lake for fishing and boating, as well as hiking trails in the surrounding Cascade Range. The area sees light usage, making it a good option for those seeking solitude away from more crowded campgrounds.

Directions

From Yakima, drive west on Highway 12 (White Pass Highway) to milepost 160. Turn off and the campsites will be immediately visible.
