About

Verona Beach State Park, located on the eastern shore of Oneida Lake in Oneida County, is a flagship facility offering diverse year-round recreation. The park features 47 electric campsites, 11 of which are waterfront, with showers and a dump station available. During the camping season from late May through mid-October, visitors enjoy beach swimming, fishing, boating (non-motorized only), and hiking the Woods and Wetland nature trail that winds through one of the Central Region's most diverse aquatic habitats. The park's varied landscape includes Oneida Lake, Black Creek, cattail marshes, and bottomland hardwood swamps, providing excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Equestrian trails accommodate horseback riders, while biking is popular throughout the park. In winter, the park transforms into a destination for snowmobilers, cross-country skiers, and ice fishermen. The eastern portion of the park is open for hunting deer, small game, and waterfowl in season by permit. Five pavilions and a community room are available for group events and can be reserved up to 11 months in advance.
