Empire RV Park at the New York State Fairgrounds provides a unique camping experience for fairgoers wanting convenient access to one of America's largest state fairs. Located at 581 State Fair Blvd in Syracuse, the park features 313 RV sites with full utility hookups including water, electricity (120V/30amp or 240V/50amp options), and sewer connections. Bathroom and shower facilities are positioned at both the west and east ends of the park. The campground operates exclusively during the State Fair period, with a mandatory 17-night stay that includes four nights before the fair opens through the final night. Each reservation includes one RV parking space, a permit for one additional vehicle, and two fair admission passes. Campers must bring their own water hoses, sewer pipes, and electrical cords. All RVs must have personal holding tanks as required by health regulations. Reservations are handled through the New York State Parks reservation system and typically open in early May. Sites fill quickly, and a waitlist is maintained once capacity is reached. Check-in begins at 10:00 AM on the first day, with checkout required by 10:00 AM the day after the fair ends.

From I-690 West, take exit 12B (formerly exit 7). The fairgrounds are immediately adjacent to the exit. All RV park vehicles enter at Gate 7.
