About

Van Buren State Park sits along Lake Michigan's picturesque shoreline south of South Haven, featuring towering dunes, a pristine sandy beach, and lush woodland trails. The 400-acre park offers one mile of sandy Lake Michigan shoreline with swimming areas and dramatic high dune formations that draw visitors throughout the camping season. The modern campground is divided into five loops with generously sized sites offering a mix of shaded and sunny options. Each of the 220 sites includes 20/30 or 50-amp electric service, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Two modern restroom/shower buildings serve campers, featuring flush toilets and individual shower stalls with ADA-compliant options. A children's play area and walking path connecting the campground to the beach area round out the amenities. A pet-friendly beach area south of the main swim zone welcomes dogs on leash. The campground accommodates RVs and trailers up to 45 feet and includes an on-site dump station.
