About

Holland Modern Beach Campground is located at Holland State Park, positioned just over the dune from Lake Michigan's sandy shoreline. The campground features 98 fully paved sites designed to accommodate RVs and campers of all sizes. Most sites provide 30-amp electrical service, while 31 premium sites offer full hookups including 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. All camping equipment, including commercial fire pits, must stay on the pavement. The park is best known for its sugar sand beaches, spectacular sunsets, and views of the iconic Big Red lighthouse across the channel. Campers enjoy easy access to a quarter-mile of Lake Michigan beach, modern restroom facilities with showers, and an accessible playground. The beach house includes concessions, changing areas, and food service during peak season. Recreational opportunities abound with swimming in buoyed areas, fishing along the channel walkway, paddling on Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa, and connections to the 20-mile paved Lakeshore Trail. The park offers seasonal nature programs, paddlesport rentals at the nearby Macatawa Boat House, and a sanitation station for RV waste disposal. Registration for the campground is handled at the Lake Macatawa Campground office at 2175 Ottawa Beach Road.

From downtown Holland, take Ottawa Beach Road west for approximately 6 miles to reach Holland State Park. The Beach Campground is located near the Lake Michigan shoreline within the park.
