Hildebrandt Semi-Modern Campground sits within Warren Dunes State Park along the Lake Michigan shoreline in southwest Michigan. This campground caters to tent campers and those seeking a more rustic experience without sacrificing access to nearby amenities. The sites are nestled among large shade trees that provide privacy and relief from summer heat. The campground features vault toilets on-site, with modern restroom facilities including flush toilets and showers available at the adjacent Mt. Randall Modern Campground within a five-minute walk. Each campsite includes a fire pit and picnic table. There are no electrical or water hookups at individual sites, making this an ideal choice for tent campers or self-contained RVs seeking a quieter atmosphere. Warren Dunes State Park offers 1,952 acres of recreational opportunities. The park's most famous feature is its massive sand dune rising 260 feet above Lake Michigan, offering spectacular views and challenging climbs. Three miles of sandy beach provide swimming and sunbathing opportunities, while six miles of trails wind through forested dunes and interdunal wetlands. The park's day-use area includes a beach store and food concession during summer months.
