Lake Macatawa Campground is one of two large campgrounds at Holland State Park, offering 211 modern campsites with electric hookups on the shores of Lake Macatawa. The campground features a diverse mix of wooded and sunny sites, with most located on grass or gravel surfaces. All sites have either 30-amp or 50-amp electrical service, and there are 12 ADA-accessible campsites available. The campground includes modern restrooms with showers, a sanitation station, two playground structures, and a sand volleyball court. Campers have access to a small swimming beach on Lake Macatawa directly across from the campground entrance. The location provides easy access to both Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan beaches, with the iconic Big Red lighthouse visible from the park. Additional nearby amenities include paddlesport rentals at Macatawa Boat House, fishing along the channel and boardwalk, and connections to the 20-mile paved Lakeshore Trail. Registration for both Holland State Park campgrounds is located at the Lake Macatawa Campground office at 2175 Ottawa Beach Road.
