Deep Lake Campground offers a true rustic camping experience within the 5,200-acre Yankee Springs Recreation Area in Barry County, Michigan. The campground features 78 individual sites plus a group camping area, all set along the shores of Deep Lake. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table, making it well-suited for traditional tent camping. Vault toilets and hand pump water sources are distributed throughout the campground. The location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, situated near the mountain bike parking lot and trailhead that connects to the recreation area's extensive trail system. A fishing pier and boat launch provide direct access to Deep Lake for anglers and paddlers. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations accepted, so early arrival is recommended during peak summer weekends. Alcohol is prohibited in the campground. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a 6-foot leash and under immediate control at all times, with waste properly disposed of in trash receptacles.
