About

Upper Juan Miller Campground is a lightly used, primitive campground nestled in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest along the scenic Coronado Trail National Scenic Byway. Located less than 2 miles from US Highway 191 via Forest Road 475, the campground sits at 5,780 feet elevation and offers a peaceful retreat shaded by large Gambel oak and sycamore trees. The campground features 5 campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and grill. Due to the narrow entrance road, the site is not suitable for trailers or RVs. There is no fee to camp at this facility, and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The area provides excellent opportunities for water play in nearby streams, wildlife viewing, and exploring the lush pine-oak habitats characteristic of this rarely visited part of the national forest. This primitive campground has pit toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own water supply. Trash cans are provided on-site. The campground's remote location and light usage make it ideal for those seeking a quiet, secluded camping experience in the mountains of eastern Arizona.
