About

Upper Juan Miller Campground sits at 5,780 feet in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, less than two miles off US Highway 191 via Forest Road 475. This free, lightly used campground offers a shaded retreat beneath large Gambel oak and sycamore trees along Juan Miller Creek. The campground provides basic amenities including five picnic tables with grills, one pit toilet, and trash collection. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own supply. The narrow entrance road makes this site unsuitable for RVs or trailers, limiting it to tent camping and smaller vehicles. Juan Miller Creek provides opportunities for water play and the surrounding forest offers excellent wildlife viewing. A sister site, Lower Juan Miller Campground, is located just a quarter mile away for additional camping options in the area.
