About

Black Jack Campground is a no-fee Forest Service campground located at 6,300 feet elevation in the Clifton Ranger District of Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. The campground features 12 camping units nestled under ponderosa pine and oak trees, offering a peaceful setting with scenic views at the south end. The area provides a nice large space suitable for group camping. The campground is situated near rocky bluffs above Blackjack Cave and offers easy access to the Coronado Trail Scenic Byway, making it an excellent base for day trips along one of Arizona's most scenic drives. Each campsite has a fire grill, and vault toilets are available on-site. Campers must bring their own water as no potable water is available, and all trash must be packed out. Located approximately 10 miles east of the New Mexico state line and 14 miles southeast of Clifton on Highway 78, Black Jack Campground operates year-round, weather dependent. The standard 14-day stay limit applies to all Forest Service campgrounds in the area.
