About

Frisco Camp is a primitive recreation site managed by the Clifton Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in Greenlee County, Arizona. Located in a remote section of the national forest, this site primarily functions as a picnic area but also accommodates primitive camping. The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests encompass over two million acres of diverse mountain country in east-central Arizona, with the Clifton District covering some of the most rugged and isolated terrain in the region. As with most sites in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Frisco Camp is a primitive facility where visitors should expect minimal amenities and should come prepared with their own water, supplies, and be ready to pack out all trash. The surrounding area offers opportunities for exploring the varied landscapes of Greenlee County, from high desert to forested mountains.
