Ashley National Forest Order 050115A1 regarding:  Closure of Fishing from Concrete Boat Ramps on Flaming Gorge Reservoir

About

Trails End River Camp is one of 17 primitive float-in campsites along the Green River corridor in Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. The site occupies a small bench on the north bank of the river, 10 miles below Flaming Gorge Dam and 2.8 miles downstream from Little Hole boat launch. While most Green River camps require floating to access, Trails End can also be reached on foot from Little Hole. The campsite includes a 10x10-foot tent pad, picnic table, fire ring with benches, and a portable toilet screen. No potable water is available; campers must bring all drinking water. All campers are required to carry portable toilet systems as part of Leave No Trace requirements for this river corridor. Campfires are permitted in the designated fire ring. The Green River below the dam offers exceptional trout fishing for rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout. Boaters must carry a bail bucket, throw line, extra oar, and wear life jackets. Motors are prohibited on this section of river. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov, and a Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area pass is required.
