About
Big Pine I River Camp is a remote, boat-in only campsite situated on the north bank of the Green River within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. Located 10.5 miles downstream from Flaming Gorge Dam and 3.3 miles below Little Hole, this primitive site is accessible only by watercraft launched from either Spillway Boat Ramp or Little Hole Boat Ramp. The campsite provides basic amenities including one picnic table, one fire ring, two tent pads, a portable toilet privacy screen, and two benches. Natural shade is provided by the surrounding vegetation of pinyon pine, juniper, sagebrush, ponderosa pine, and river bottom shrubs and grasses. The site offers excellent access to fishing and non-motorized boating opportunities on this scenic section of the Green River. Campers must bring their own portable toilet system and pack out all garbage, as there are no toilet facilities or trash services at this remote location. The site is reservable through Recreation.gov and operates year-round. A Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area pass is required in addition to the camping fee.
